The chapter’s 501(c)(3) nonprofit arm since 1983, providing scholarships for Austin-area students and programs that answer the needs of the communities we serve.
Our history
The mission of Austin Alpha Foundation is to expand and develop initiatives that benefit Austin residents: garner and direct resources that facilitate and empower community development and self-sufficiency; expand outreach efforts through strategic partnerships with corporations, governmental entities, community-based organizations, foundations, and other interested parties.
Scholarships
Scholarship awards are the Foundation’s oldest work: money, given once a year, to Austin students on their way to college.
Awards go to graduating high school seniors in the Greater Austin area.
Have your academic record and everything else the application asks for ready before the window opens. Nothing about it should be rushed at the deadline.
The Foundation’s scholarship committee reviews every application that arrives on time.
Dates, award amounts and the application for the coming year are posted here as soon as the committee opens the cycle. Until then, write to us and we will let you know when it does.
The Foundation is funded by brothers, families and neighbors who give. There is no endowment behind it. A gift of any size goes to the scholarships and the programs, and it is tax-deductible.
